3M Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film | 846 SERIES (6 MIL)

846 SERIES SURFACE PROTECTION FILM IS DISCONTINUED BY 3M 

This Surface Protection Film was known for the Red 3M Logos on the liner, and was the film largely responsible for the bad reputation 3M film got for orange peel and yellowing in the 1990's and 2000's. 

It was manufactured to be less expensive without the UV inhibiters that made the similar looking 848 Series an OEM Approved product. Unfortunately lots of installers used it on car hoods, because it was about 20% cheaper to buy, although it was never intended to be an exterior product.  We are happy to see it finally go out of production.
